Reflexology

Diploma in Reflexology
(Requirement for membership of the Association of Reflexologists)
These courses are designed for anybody who wishes to change their career, add a new therapy to their existing one(s) or anybody with children who needs or would like flexible working hours on a self-employed basis.
There are three courses available that span over a minimum 9 month period and consist of a minimum 100 contact tutor hours. (In the event of absence we will endeavour to infill learners to other classes, however it may be necessary to arrange individual tuition at an additional expense to the learner).
Students will learn:
• the history, theories and principles of reflexology
• anatomy and physiology
• understanding the body in sickness and in health including cause of illness, diseases, reactions of medications, areas of assistance
• how to treat specific disorders
• hand reflexology and case studies
• aspects of consultation and how to work the feet in a professional manner,
• nutrition, role-play, health and hygiene will also be covered and much, much more
• the courses are run in a friendly, relaxed yet professional manner that will inspire students to learn and gain self-confidence in their new skill.
Assessment
This unit will be assessed by practical assignment covering practical skills and an externally set written exam covering the underpinning knowledge.
