Post Graduate workshops – Body Therapy

Hopi Ear Candling
This is an ancient and natural therapy handed down by many civilisations.
It is believed that the Ancient Greeks used ear candles, initially probably for cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual basis, but much later on a purely physical basis. However, the practice reached the modern world via the native American Hopi Indians of North Arizona.
This intense but enlightening workshop covers: The history of Hopi ear candles; how the ear candles work; anatomy of the ear; mechanism of hearing/how to clean ears; diseases and disorders of the ear; contraindications for ear candling; benefits and effects; equipment and materials; treatment procedure; home care and aftercare; facial massage procedure; consultation procedure and ways to promote the treatment.

Thai Foot Massage
Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet using hands and a traditional stick, that stretches and opens the Sen (energy) Lines, to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to promote general health and well-being.
The treatment will usually last for one hour of which there is approximately 10 minutes of 'hands-on' massage.
Thai Foot Massage takes it's origins from China where the art has been practiced for over 5000 years, and Thai Foot Massage, as seen everywhere in Thailand today, has developed from Chinese, Japanese, and Korean foot masseuses.
Taught by therapist educators who have visited and studied in Thailand, this one-day workshop will provide you with an insight in to the origins of the treatments practiced by the Monks in Buddhist temples today.
