What Our Students Say About Us...Phoenix School of Health & Beauty in Chelmsford

"After spending two years studying massage at university level I was keen to ensure any future study was sufficiently in depth, in adequate facilities and provided a professionally recognised qualification. I chose Phoenix after much deliberation and could not have been more pleased with my choice - the tutors are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and understanding, the facilities are outstanding and the class sizes small enough for individual attention.

Initially I studied Indian Head massage, then went onto Reflexology, Hopi ear candles and St. Tropez Tanning, I have learnt so much and made some wonderful friends, I was very lucky to find such a professional yet friendly and supportive environment in which to study."

Diana Entwistle - Chelmsford

"I started my Beauty Therapy training a few years ago now at Adult Education classes. After I finished the course, the tutor recommended I contact Phoenix to see about continuing my training. I'm now working to complete the Level 2 qualification, taking modules as and when I can fit them in with full-time work and other commitments.

It's working well. The flexibility has proved invaluable and the quality of the training has been first class. I have friends in the beauty industry and they've been impressed by my level of knowledge and expertise, despite the fact I'm still training. The smaller classes mean you have lots of individual attention, and you can cover much more so thoroughly in a shorter period of time. And there's always support for those who want to go into the business full or part-time after they've trained, whether that be in a salon, mobile or at home. But there's also no pressure if you don't want to take things further.

I'm glad I've done it. Thank you for your help and encouragement Phoenix"

Louise Antoniou - Chelmsford

"I trained at Phoenix SHB between 2001- 2003 completing Holistic Therapies level 3 and Beauty Therapy level 2 along with many additional post graduate day and weekend courses. I found the school and its training to be of a very high standard giving attention to detail. Following my training I was able to change career and I now run a successful salon and have come to realise that the standard of training and knowledge passed on by the excellent tutors have been invaluable. When it comes to recruiting therapists for my salon I know I would not find anyone with high enough standards unless they have been trained at Phoenix"

Lynda Mercury - South Woodham Ferrers

"I gained my City & Guilds qualification (Distinction) in September 2004 for Nail Enhancements. The training and after support advice has been excellent, as was the First-Steps work, which enabled me to gain experience and confidence in my work.

I now run my own business and would recommend Phoenix to all future Nail Technicians."

Julie Grimwood, Nu Nails - Braintree

I started my one day a week course at Phoenix in Sept 2003. At the age of forty I was concerned about the thought of course work and a class environment. I need not have worried as the friends I have made and the support and professionalism I received from both my colleagues and tutors (Sue and Louise) has been invaluable. Although I wavered slightly after leaving due to family commitments and getting married and have taken longer than expected to complete my assessments the end is now in sight and I am nearing completion and well on the way to becoming fully qualified. My business is slowly growing and although it has been hard work I have never regretted making the decision to be a beauty therapist.

So continued thanks to all at Phoenix.
