To achieve a full diploma in Beauty Therapy, learners must achieve a minimum of 54 credits.
15 credits are achieved through the level 2 mandatory generic suite of units, these cover: Working in beauty therapy; health & safety; client care and communication; promoting products and services and reception duties.
27 credits are achieved through 5 mandatory technical units: Provide manicure & pedicure treatments; removing hair using waxing techniques; provide facial skin care and eyelash & eyebrow treatments.
The additional 12 credits can be achieved through any combination of the following:
Apply make-up – 5 credits
Provide head massage – 4 credits
Provide and maintain nail enhancements – 7 credits
Provide nail art – 3 credits
